The Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance (ODAPC) is the branch of the Department of Transportation (DOT) that is in charge of everything that is related to drug and alcohol testing with regards to DOT policy and regulations. This office reports on everything associated with alcohol and drug testing and advises on the rules that should govern the program.

The Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance (ODAPC) is the part of the DOT that is responsible for the coordination of matters relating to drug and alcohol testing programs inside the Department of Transportation, and also provides relevant information that concerns the implementation of such programs.

The ODAPC gives advice to the Secretary on issues regarding drug testing and control at a national and international level, and is the main advisor on the rules governing the testing for drug and alcohol of safety-sensitive employees in trucking, aviation, pipelines, mass transit, and other industries of transportation. The ODAPC delivers official interpretations on the testing for drug and alcohol, including how to perform such tests, and the procedures of evaluation and treatment that are required to return employees to duty after violating the testing process. The Office also publishes its own regulations and annually coordinates the involvement of the Department of Transport with the National Drug Control Strategy of the President.

The ODAPC is a government agency is also responsible for the creation of regulations for the testing of alcohol and drugs to workers. It coordinates and provides the necessary measures to reduce the use of illicit substances on workers to ensure their safety in workplaces, especially those with safety-sensitive positions or jobs that could endanger the safety of other people or the environment.

The ODAPC?s mission is to provide security and reduce the consumption of illicit drugs, providing information on treatment for affected employees so they return to their jobs, and advise companies so that they can deal with employees affected by drug use.
